1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Woning.me ("the Service"), operated by WoningMe, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
Woning.me is a rental property aggregator that collects and displays publicly available rental listings from third-party sources in the Netherlands. Our mission is to present properties to you in an accessible and affordable way. We do not act as a real estate agent, broker, or landlord. We do not list properties ourselves and are not a party to any rental agreement.
3. Acceptable Use
You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes. You must not:
- Attempt to interfere with, disrupt, or gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service.
- Use automated tools to send requests at a rate that exceeds normal human usage.
4. Accuracy of Information
Listing data is sourced from third parties and may be out of date, incomplete, or inaccurate. Woning.me makes no warranties regarding the accuracy, completeness, or availability of any listing. Always verify information directly with the landlord or letting agent before making any decision.
5. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent permitted under Dutch law (Burgerlijk Wetboek), we make no warranties regarding the uninterrupted availability or fitness of the Service for any particular purpose. Statutory consumer rights under Dutch law remain unaffected.
6. Limitation of Liability
Woning.me and its operators are not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, except in cases of intent (opzet) or gross negligence (grove nalatigheid), in which case liability cannot be excluded under Dutch law (art. 6:233/237 BW). Our total liability for any direct damages shall not exceed €0, given the Service is provided free of charge.
7. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to update these Terms. Where changes are material, we will notify you at least 30 days in advance via the app or by email. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the changes, you may stop using the Service and delete your account.

9. Governing Law & Disputes
These Terms are governed by Dutch law (Nederlands recht). Disputes will be submitted to the competent court in the Netherlands. If you are a consumer, you also have the right to use the European Online Dispute Resolution platform: ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
Privacy Policy

1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how Woning.me ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and protects your personal data when you use the Service.
2. Data We Collect
We collect the following categories of data:
- Account data: When you register, we collect the email address and display name associated with your account, provided via Firebase Authentication.
- Usage data: We may collect basic technical information such as IP address, browser type, and pages visited to operate and improve the Service.
- Saved searches: If you save search filters, we store those preferences linked to your account.
3. Authentication
Firebase (Google LLC) handles user sign-in securely on our behalf in accordance with Google's privacy standards. We do not store passwords.
4. Legal Basis for Processing (Grondslag)
We process your personal data on the following grounds under the AVG/GDPR:
- Performance of a contract (art. 6(1)(b) AVG): processing necessary to provide the Service to you.
- Legitimate interest (art. 6(1)(f) AVG): detecting and preventing abuse or unauthorised access.
- Consent (art. 6(1)(a) AVG): where we explicitly ask for your consent, such as for optional notifications.
5. How We Use Your Data
- To provide and personalise the Service (e.g. saved searches, notifications).
- To communicate service-related information to you.
- To detect and prevent abuse or unauthorised access.
6. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to third parties. We may share data with service providers (such as Firebase / Google Cloud) solely to operate the Service, under data processing agreements (verwerkersovereenkomsten) as required by the AVG.
7. Data Retention
We retain your account and preference data for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us or using the app. We do not retain data longer than necessary under applicable Dutch law.
8. Your Rights (AVG/GDPR)
Under the AVG (Algemene Verordening Gegevensbescherming / GDPR) you have the right to:
- Access your personal data (inzagerecht)
- Rectify incorrect data (rectificatierecht)
- Erase your data (recht op vergetelheid)
- Restrict or object to processing
- Data portability
- Withdraw consent at any time, without affecting prior processing
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Dutch supervisory authority: Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens (AP) — autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl.
9. Cookies
The Service uses only strictly necessary session cookies required for authentication, in accordance with the Dutch Telecommunicatiewet. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies and therefore do not require a cookie consent banner.
